Beyond Blues is the new “face” of the old The Book of Wong - a regular column featuring thoughts and reflections about life and the Boys Brigade. The original title, The Book of Wong, was an inside-joke shared between the author and a few of his Boys. Since that joke had now run its course, the author decided to write his monthly column under a new title. Beyond Blues will explore themes, thoughts and topics of life in the Boys Brigade. This blog will serve as a repository of all Beyond Blues articles.

Who Is Beyond Blues Author?
Wong Giok Leigh is an Officer with the 1st Kuala Lumpur Boys Brigade Company. He has been actively serving the Boys' Brigade since 1991, rising through the ranks and achieving both the President's and Founder's Awards. After finishing his Master's Degree in the US, he returned to Malaysia… and back into uniform. Out of uniform, he prefers to be known as “Leigh” (which is pronounced “Lee”), or “Giok Leigh.” He works as a consultant in the field of marketing communications and is an avid reader.
